"Jim loves his deserts! Dune Trader is a commodity trading game, set between seven cities (maybe this is the far future beyond the far future of the Great Desert?). The quick game (and the demo) is a simple affair of making as much as you can in 20 days. You know the format: Buy low, sell high. The full version allows for far more strategic thinking - with more time available you can plan lucrative trade routes. The most interesting scenario, 7-in-a-row, is not about making money, but fixing the market to SELL certain commodities - Forward planning is the key.
Commodities range from mundane to extraordinary - but they all have humourous details, usually a comment on consumerism.
And there is a great undocumented feature that adds yet another (devious) dimension to the gameplay and your strategies."

"I tried the demo, and when my 20 day game ended I almost cried. I like this game :) It's much more simple than other trading games I've played, like Merchant Princes (a WAP game), but it's simplicity only adds to the experience. No more tiresome traveling, bandits, or road tolls!! This game is terribly addictive and so much fun that I had to get it right away! I recommend it to anyone with a taste for trading. ^_^"
