- 11/23/15 - Added opening and closing images to The Ancient Catacombs.
- 11/05/15 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Redid main layout to add floating boxes for items and kings defeated.
- Reformatted combat screens for clarity.
- Fixed bug where demons could drain you to negative energy.
- 09/21/15 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- New Item: Bloodstone.
- Added auto-defeating monsters which you could have fought without losing, to speed up the game some.
- Stone altar can give you items from 20 levels lower now.
- Runic shield breaks 5% less often.
- Increased xp bonus for defeating monsters with special abilities by 0 to 50, depending on the power.
- Increased the impact monsters flee amount has on danger adjustment. It was every 15% was -1, now it's every 10% is -1.
- On recent players listing, catacombs players now show which monsters they are fighting.
- Added disabled buttons on main screen for actions you can't currently perform.
- Adjusted help text to match current stat names.
- 09/07/15 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Made it responsive for playing on mobile devices. This is the last one to be converted! Yay!
- Reduced bonus turns from gaining a skill point from xp to 3 instead of 4.
- Made it so using a skill point doesn't use a turn.
- Combat Roll results highlighted by who wins, to make it much more obvious.
- Robuster back button error checking.
- 05/10/10 - In The Ancient Catacombs: Increased starting artifice by 2, made danger level not go above 100%, and fixed 2 typos.
- 05/27/09 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Added light up boxes and a stat change column, to make it easier to track what has changed each turn. Also added fill-up bars for health, strength, and experience, to make it easier to see how full each of these is.
- Reformatted the main screen and encounter screens to be clearer and easier to read, by lining columns up and adding whitespace.
- Added 1 new location: the Sepulchre, and also noxious fumes which can appear in locations.
- Increased starting health from between 6 and 10 to between 11 and 18.
- Total turns lost in shock shown when you analyze the game state.
- Training rates decrease faster as you grow in power.
- Now you can't use the fruit or balm when you are fully healed, and accidentally waste it.
- The greater the chance that monsters flee when you are around, the less the chance of danger increases per turn. For every 15% of flee chance, danger chance increases 1 less per turn.
- 07/16/07 - In The Ancient Catacombs: Updated the astrolabe function to show multiple estimated times to finish, based on defeating the undead kings and collecting the gold.
- 07/04/07 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Defeated monsters now give experience bonuses depending on what their special powers are.
- Added "analyze game state" link which tells you about some previously hidden attributes. This let me find and fix a bug where some of the artifice bonuses were using the hero's current artifice, instead of their maximum.
- There is now a chance a hero will start with more than 1 artifice.
- Minor item bonuses: when you slip away using the cloak of stealth, it lowers monster awareness, and when you have the luckstone, it reduces the chance of your shield and armor breaking.
- Put a lighted border around the winner in combat for regular attacks.
- 02/16/07 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Greed zombies now steal more gold the further down you are in the catacombs, but you also recover 1/2 to all the gold they stole from you if you defeat them.
- Posion zombies increase their poison damage by 1 per every 20 catacombs levels.
- Redrew combat results screen some, to make it more clear.
- On the main screen, next to the Monster Awareness, the amount that awareness changed from your last action is shown in parenthesis beside it.
- Reduced the amount battle cry and berserk raise monster awareness, by 10% and 5%.
- 01/02/05 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Mystic armor reduces monster awareness by 1 a turn.
- Runic shield breaks 5% less easily.
- Fixed bug that gave negative exp from training.
- 11/02/04 - In The Ancient Catacombs: Added a stone altar, where you can offer gold for a random result.
- 10/23/04 - In The Ancient Catacombs: Now monster awareness goes up by 1 per turn for every 7500 gold you are carrying.
- 09/18/04 - In The Ancient Catacombs:
- Training with runes and the Book of Strategy now decreases in effectiveness more rapidly as your skills increase.
- Added the 'Shove' attack, so you can use less energy when fighting weak monsters, and take a chance on sort of weak monsters.
- 05/23/04 - In The Ancient Catacombs, strength drained by monsters is now recorded, and recoverable from resting and using healing items.
- 04/21/04 - In The Ancient Catacombs, the fire gems only get used in combat if you have a lower score than the enemy after the roll.
